Clearly daily intake of refined sugar is out of control. When only 100 years ago the average intake of refined sugar was 45 grams in 5 days or the equivalent of 1 can of coke and a healthier variant than what we consume today. This compares to 17 cans of coke every 5 days of a variant with a multitude of artificial additives that are foreign and toxic to the body. So not only is the high sugar content toxic, the additives clearly compound the situation
