The art of the re- frame is to view something differently than what you first did. It is a process by which you find a new meaning or a new context to whatever information you have about an event or situation. Any meaning can have an emotion or belief behind it that is either empowering or disempowering. The meaning can be supportive and generative or oppositional. Whatever the meaning or the context you give is the experience you have. Reframing increases choice and there is an advantage to more choice. Reframing does require the ability to look at things differently and even out of the box thinking.
