Take some time out! Some people call this meditation, however, you don’t need to meditate to take a time out from busy life. A time out is simply a break from the usual routine so your brain can play catch up with your fast pace. It can simply be a time for your brain to process all the events so far and establish new neural links that can support you. A time out is a slowing down, temporarily and a time to recover.
Most people do not take enough breaks from their routine and find themselves in overwhelm and even confusion. Studies clearly show that taking this time off is very constructive as well as generative. Generative meaning to help create constructive, useful ideas, interpretations or perspectives on the things in life. These new perspectives can actually be very supportive to the life you live. Answers, solutions or ideas to improve life generally can come out of these time outs.
A time out can involve:
A time of silence
A time of quiet reflection
Meditative breathing
Meditation
A walk outside in nature
Passively listening to music
